This course is for anyone who has previously completed a 200-hour YTT program, something similar, or has a regular practice of yoga and an interest in prenatal and/or postnatal yoga. The course is also open to pilates instructors, doulas, midwives, and birth workers. A knowledge of yoga terminology is useful to get the most out of the course. Please contact us if you have more specific questions if the course would be suitable for you.

The 50 hour course is registered with Continuing Education hours via Yoga Alliance.
The 85-hour course is the official “RPYT-Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher” course via Yoga Alliance. The only way to get the RPYT standing via Yoga Alliance is to complete the 85-hour course.

Yes, you can choose to “upgrade” to the 85-hour course with our school if you’d like to go further with Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga and have the RPYT status via Yoga Alliance.

YES! All of our courses are registered with Yoga Alliance. The 50-hour and 75-hour courses are registered with Continuing Education hours via Yoga Alliance.
We also offer the official 85-hour Prenatal YTT which is registered with Yoga Alliance and can enable you to have the RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) standing and logo on your Yoga Alliance profile.

Yes, the 50-hour and 75-hour courses are completely self paced. You’ll have 12-months access to the online portal with the option to extend if needed.
The 85-hour RPYT Prenatal and Postnatal course can either be completed at your own pace or you can join one of our Live Cohort rounds for live Q&As, support and accountability.

It depends which course you take! For our 50-hour self-paced Prenatal & Postnatal course, no. This course is registered with Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours and will certify you to teach these areas, but not give you the RPYT status.
However, if you complete our 85-hour Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Training, then YES! you can receive the RPYT logo and designation from Yoga Alliance upon completion of the course.

Yoga Alliance credentials are recognized internationally, and Island Prenatal Yoga is a Registered Prenatal School and has trained students from more than 40 countries who go on to teach in their home regions.

Yes, you will receive a PDF version of your certification, including the Yoga Alliance logo, the YACEP logo, the course title and hours completed, and my signature as the instructor.
