Why choose Island Prenatal Yoga?

Unlike large yoga schools that offer prenatal training as one of dozens of certifications, Island Prenatal Yoga specializes exclusively in prenatal and postnatal yoga. It's the only thing we do — and that focus shows in the depth, care, and expertise woven into every module of this training.

Lauren has been specializing in prenatal and postnatal yoga since 2016 — long before it became a popular add-on certification. She has taught this training live on YTT programs across Bali, practiced prenatal yoga through her own pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and has now had over 850+ students worldwide. This isn't a general yoga school that added a prenatal module. This is a school built from the ground up, by a specialist, for people who want to do this work properly.

When you train with Island Prenatal Yoga, you're getting the most focused, experienced prenatal and postnatal specific training available online.

Feedback from Past Students:

85-Hour vs 50-Hour: Which training is right for you?

Island Prenatal Yoga offers two levels of prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher training:

  1. The 85-Hour RPYT Prenatal & Postnatal YTT is our most comprehensive program and the one to choose if you want the official Yoga Alliance RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) credential. It covers everything in the 50-hour course, plus additional depth, live calls for Q&A, a private WhatsApp group, additional assignments, and the practice teaching and observation hours required for RPYT registration. This is our most popular course and the one we recommend for yoga teachers who want to professionally specialize in prenatal and postnatal yoga.

  2. The 50-Hour Prenatal & Postnatal YTT is registered with Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education hours (YACEP). It certifies you to teach prenatal and postnatal yoga, but does not qualify you for the RPYT designation on it’s own, but you could upgrade to the 85-hour course down the road if you’d like! It's a great option if you want solid foundational knowledge and aren’t interested in the RPYT logo.

👉 If your goal is the RPYT credential, live calls and extra support: choose the 85-hour.

👉 If you want certification to teach without the RPYT title: the 50-hour works.
